In the name of God

Episode 1

Date: Sunday, August 12, 2018

Location: Yard of the Father's House, Tabriz.

As usual on summer nights, we had dinner in the yard and waited for Baba to brew tea. Tonight, the astronomical phenomenon of meteor showers will occur. Based on the experience of previous years, we know that we will be able to observe meteors from around 1 p.m. onwards. Shortly past midnight, I saw the first comet. By the time I tried to show it to my sister Zahra, she disappeared. We sat watching the sky for half an hour and each one of us hunted for a few wishes. Mom tried to film the night sky, but nothing came of it.

Zahra: If one wish is fulfilled every time we see a meteor, how many meteors do you think the average person should see in a year in order to feel satisfied with life?

Me: Perhaps more important than the number of wishes fulfilled, the feeling that "God hears my desires and the desires of my heart" gives a sense of happiness to man.

Zahra: I would like to have the power to fulfill a dream of every human being.

Unconsciously, this poem winds in my mind: "And God knows, and God wills, that you be a god on the earth."

Episode 2

Date: Nowruz holiday time 1403

Location: The home of Elmira, a childhood friend.

The holiday was a great opportunity to meet old acquaintances. We were invited to have lunch at our childhood playmate's house for Dolmeh. As in previous years, we decided to watch cartoons after lunch. A few months had passed since the release of the animation "Wish" and although we were cartoonists, we had not been able to see it due to our busy work. We spread out the basket of chips and puffs and watched with Elmira's three-year-old daughter. On the way back to Zahra's house, she asked: If Asha were among us in the 21st century, would she still be able to help her people? What is the wish of the inhabitants of our land? Can anyone meet them?

The rest of the discussion turned to the theory of six degrees of separation. It seemed to me that just as the two desirable people on the planet are connected by six or fewer intermediaries, there must be a relatively short chain between each wisher and the wish-granter.

The issue of how to form this chain was the subject of Zahra and I talked for a long time, until on July 8, 2024, during the difficult days of Mom's chemotherapy, the ViralWishes.com website was born out of these discussions.

Episode 3: Launched...

On July 31, 2025, after months of efforts and with the cooperation of a cohesive and expert team, the Viral Wishes platform was officially launched.
